Join us in laying the groundwork for your dog's journey towards obedience and excellence.

Objectives

  • Reliable Sit- The "sit" command in dog training instructs the dog to lower their hindquarters to the ground and remain in a seated position until released by the handler. It's one of the basic obedience commands and is often taught as one of the first commands in a training regimen. The sit command is useful for controlling the dog's behavior, promoting calmness, and establishing a foundation for further training exercises.
  • Down Stay- A "down stay" in dog training instructs the dog to lie down and remain in that position until released by the handler. It's an extension of the "down" command, where the dog is initially taught to lie down on command. Once the dog has learned to lie down reliably, the "stay" component is added, requiring the dog to maintain the down position even in the presence of distractions or the handler moving away. Down stay is a valuable obedience skill that promotes impulse control, patience, and focus in dogs.
  • Place- The "place" command in dog training instructs the dog to go to a specific location, such as a designated mat, bed, or spot, and remain there until released by the handler. It's a versatile command that can be used to teach dogs to settle in a particular area, especially in situations where they need to remain calm and stationary, such as when guests arrive or during meal times. The place command helps dogs learn impulse control, boundary respect, and provides a convenient way to manage their behavior in various environments.
  • Leave It- The "leave it" command in dog training instructs the dog to ignore or refrain from interacting with an object, item, or stimulus. It's commonly used to prevent dogs from picking up or approaching potentially harmful objects, such as food scraps, toxic substances, or items on the ground. The leave it command teaches dogs impulse control and redirects their attention away from tempting distractions. It's an important safety command that can help keep dogs out of danger and promote good behavior in various situations.
